RISE Entertainment Center Murals

This is the original drawing I created for the owners of RISE. As you can see when it came time to place on the wall, we extended the length of the mural so that it would fill the entire wall and be at a persons eyesight above the counter that will go in. I don't like to change the plan when it comes time to transfer the image to the wall, but sometimes it is necessary I order to make it work with the environment you have to work with. For this mural it is a combination of creating original looks and also  images already available. The race car and climber they already had in mind. I added the other three images in that style.

Below is one of my all time favorite murals I was able to create. Basically we wanted to design a person climbing on rocks, but the freedom they gave for me to go for it was awesome. The owner trusted my judgement and let me add to it accordingly, that being the Sioux Falls skyline and also the falls, which were not in the original plan. The only bummer to all this was that a leak in the roof above the painting hit the wall after it was completed and I needed to come back and touch it up where water streaked it. This was done in a converted warehouse, so leaks may happen. Luckily all was fixed, including the roof.

Another addition the RISE folks wanted was some eyes that would look at you when you played Glow Golf. So we used glow in the dark paint and when the lights go down, neon lights are turned on, you see these eyes coming out of the darkness at you, it's a cool effect. Hope I can do more with this concept in the future. You can see the climbing wall mural in the distance. That looks awesome with the neon lights as well.
